Are chicks who are raised by a hen less friendly?

I think what I would like to do is wait for one of my hens to go broody, hopefully next spring/summer & get some fertile eggs for her to hatch (and then just find homes for the inevitable roosters!

). There's a farm just down the street from me that sells hatching eggs. I think it would be really fun to watch the babies being raised by a mama hen. I wonder, though, if the babies will be as friendly as the ones I'm raising? Will they learn from their mama to trust me & end up being just as tame, or will they stick to mam like glue and stay away from me & grow up afraid of humans?

What is your experience with this?

I found that my chicks raised by hens are skittish... but then again, the hens that have gone broody aren't the sweetest ones eather....
