I want to get some cortunix quail next year but I need to know how loud they are.The males and females.I already have a bantam roo who is anoying the nieghbors so I really dont want to add to that sound.I have a small woods on both sides of me but I dont know if that will block the noise.

Well I think im okay then im going to make a few pens ill butcher most of the males but keep a couple with some females to keep them happy and the other females ill seperate for having unfertilized eggs to eat. Thx for ansewering so fast btw

My A&Ms are much more quiet than my jumbos. I think they do this simply so I can't sex them and therefore eat them.

Yeah we have two roo's in a pen of like 10 or 11 girls and the one still crows a good bit....We just laugh when we hear it but I'm sure if there was a house on the other side of the barn instead of a cornfield the neighbors wouldn't be laughing with us. Our hens are quiet. They chortle and make that cricket sound alot but you can only hear it when you're right in the barn with them. The pen of roo's we had for awhile was REALLY loud and at all hours of the day and night. They are now in the freezer....
