Are Dewlap Toulouse geese hard to incubate?

I will be driving 10 hours each way this month to pick up Pomeranain goslings. That breeder doesn't ship, but I know 2 breeders who do ship Pomeranian goslings. They are both more in the East. Let me know if you want contact information.

Dunlop Hatchery in Idaho might sell goslings if pet quality is all you want. Hatcheries do not sell Giant Dewlap Toulouse. Their "Toulouse" geese are barnyard gray geese. There are certain to be good breeders of geese in Idaho, if you take a look around and make a small effort to locate them.
We have live very close to Dunlap Hatchery. That was the first choice to check. They told her they would have them but they didn't. But I don't know why. I think I will continue to try to get her to look around more to get them closer to home than to have to ship them. Are the Toulouse as nice mannered as the Dewlaps. Several people have said the Dewlaps are more easy going than a lot of geese.

I know a dewlap gosling seller than can ship to you. They are not much cheaper than Holderread, but there is no waiting list and she is hatching them out daily right now.
I don't think she will go the amount of money it takes for the goslings. I am going to work on changing her mind to something more easy to get.

Nether of us knew anything about the Dewlaps but she liked the fact that they were more easing going than a lot of geese and that they were so large. But I am going to steer her to something else. Hopefully something we can drive to to get.
Thanks for you interest and help

True dewlaps are not cheap. You may want to go with the utility toulouse over the dewlap. There is not too big a difference in personality and they are pretty easy to hatch. Not sure where in Idaho you are, but I'm in northern Utah and there are toulouse around here.

I am sure that is what she will in up doing. She has a menagery of animals. Horses, cows, sheep, all kinds of chickens, one turkey and one Canadian Goose that was found. The Canadian is funny and thinks he is a Turkey but flies around the barn several times a day and back to the Turkey. He likes a one of the sheep too. Anyway, I think she will be just as happy with a plain Toulouse. As long as the personality is good. That was one of the things that was attractive about the Dewlap. Thanks, Micki
