are ducks wings supposed to be like this?

I'm sorry if I come off wrong, But yes I was brought up on a farm and saw things like this every year. It takes me a minute or more to realize that everyone doesn't have that background, I also have the risk of ending up talking down to an experienced person who is asking about some fine detail that I don't really know. I would rather take that risk than let a newbe go without advise.
My first post on one of these sites I wanted to know how roost bars should be installed for my GEESE:lol: I grew up with chickens and Muscovies and they all roosted, I thought geese and other ducks did too. Everybody had a good laugh at my expense but I gained a lot of needed info on raising geese too!

Didn't come off wrong at all. I was just having a silliness attack. I never lived on a farm but at one point we did move out to the country and we were surrounded by farms. A lot of my friends were FFA. I knew more than most of the city kids and sometimes their questions had me rolling with laughter...yet things I didn't know cracked up my FFA buddies just as bad.

To vindicate myself, had you originally said that the ducks in question were only 5 weeks old, I would have told you what everyone else told you that this is normal feather development.

I for one always appreciate your comments. No matter the tone, they are informative, and I always look forward to reading your input. Sometimes your tone makes me giggle, and sometimes it makes me cringe, but the substance of your posts are a valuable BYC resource.

I'm lucky to have developed a very thick skin.
