I have 8 runner duck eggs in the incubator from Metzer Farms. Four are black runner duck eggs, and four are fawn/white runner duck eggs. When they mature I hope to have more eggs to hatch in the future, but it just dawned on me that they could be siblings, so all the fawn and white may be related, and the black may all be related. Does anyone know if they send eggs from the same duck?

There is a slight possibility that they might be from the same duck but I have my doubts that the eggs would stay around that long. Even if they were, there's nothing to worry about, they will all grow up fine. We have never had any problems with our chickens either (we've bred our own).

Thanks... there is so much I don't know. I have learned a lot on this site, and it has brought up a lot of questions too.... : )

I agree with what has already been said. I am sure they are not related. Metzer's is a huge operation. They have literally thousands of ducks.

Yeah...my metzer Welsh Harlequin girls are all so different I seriously doubt they are biologically sisters.

2 are brown and white, but one is tiny and the other one is huge with a seriously long bill. Their coloring patterns are also very different. The other one is black and white with no brown at all.
