Are feed fed hen eggs organic?

Hi,

My hens free range and also eat feeds from the store. I was wondering if their eggs would be considered organic?

to be organic, your yard (and any neighbor within wind-drift distance) would have to be pesticide free for years, and the feed you buy would have to be organic, not just regular feed. and this is just to know you're organic. saying and certifying it are a whole 'nuther thing.

so, probably the answer is no.

You could call them free range eggs but not organic.
