Are Golden Comets normally a friendly breed?

I have six 9 week old comets and this thread makes me so excited,! They are definitely very sweet and they are even friendly to my crazy loud 4 year old. They will be roosting on their coop and he’ll run up to them and they will stay still and let him pet them and even let him kiss their heads! They get to free range most of the day and they definitely are a butt to herd back to the coop bc they don’t wanna go! Lol. I can’t wait to hear that egg laid sound! Maybe it’ll be pay back for my neighbor reving his car at 11 at night! 😜

Our girls have gotten even sweeter since I made this post. Margo especially. Whenever we open the coop the golden comets always run up to us. Margo has taken to waiting at the door if she even hears us approach the coop. She lovessssss grass. So we take her to eat grass and she loves it. If I’m in the run and she’s out there she’ll lightly peck my ankles until I pick her up and carry her around. She’s definitely our sweetest girl.

I have four ISA Browns, which look similar to your picture. One is extremely friendly, she will come right up to me and sit in my lap. Two are a little more standoffish, but still very nice. The last is a "teenager" at around sixteen weeks and will occasionally walk up to me if I have sunflower seeds, but is a bit more skittish.

I have 2 comets & 2 ISA Browns & can’t tell them apart! They are collectively called “the golden girls”. Sweet girls around me but I have noticed they can be a little bossy in the coop. 17 weeks old, not laying yet.
