Are Impacted Crop and Molting related?

Can you get some kefir? I would feed her some kefir or kombucha to get those fantastic cultures going, hopefully fight any nasties that may be at work in there.

Thought of the day: I wonder if the Impacted Crop - Molting relationship is the inverse of what I thought. ie: Impaction causing molting, rather than Molting indirectly causing impaction? I was reading that commercial laying setups often force a molt by witholding food and light. So if the chicken had an impaction, wasnt getting nutrition; and then begins to molt?
