Are leghorn hens loud?

Yay! They let me upload a picture. Here they are. This is our first chicken experience so I am just guessing on longhorn since they said that they said that is what they usually get. The picture on the top left was taken without the red heat light so it's not the light giving the peachy tinge. I see buff... once again I am a newbie so I could be wrong. They had one bin of chicks with two prices, one for assorted and one for sex-linked. All they knew were that they were female (I hope) and egg layers. I just have really grumpy neighbors and I started getting worried when I heard that leghorns tend to be noisy! When I find out for sure, I'll be sure to update! I am going to post pictures of my other two on the identification forum if anyone wants to give those guess too

I have two leghorns (one white, one brown) and they are both very, very loud.

They were quiet as chicks and as adolescents, but now that they're laying both of them screech their heads off for up to an hour in the morning when they're in a laying mood.

They've also both gotten broody and harass the other chickens when they try to come into the nesting box area to lay, which just makes even more noise.

Great layers, but my neighbors are starting to hate me.

I have a 4month old leghorn and shes quite loud. She lets the other chickens know that there are critters or people nearby. She yells at me for messing around in the coop. I dont have the heart to give her up because she has the most personality out of all my chickens.

My first leghorns are 2 years old now, when they were 5 months old they were flighty, loud, mean and only kept them since they're my best layers. Now they are very tamed and friendly and my quietest hens and still my best layers.
I decided this spring to add 2 more along with few other breeds, the new ones are quiet as can be and very friendly and lays every day. So you will never know how they will turn out, which at first I almost send the first leghorns to a freezer camp.

White Leghorn hens have vocal cords unlike any other. My coop sounds like a jungle in the morning during egg hours. Because their sound is more like a jungle bird than a chicken crackling. "WAH AH AH AH AH AH AH"
