No one around a farm with free range guineas sleeps past 10am.

If I ever hatch any more they will go in a coop on the back of the property. Mine knew which window to scream in to to get food earlier.

Male an hen both are loud.

Especially when you have one that is scared of heights. Our one and only guinea will fly onto the gate and from there onto the roof of the leanto and as soon as he lands he panics and throws a fit trying to figure out how to get back down...Noisy, but hilarious.

Now this is a funny post! I have guineas and as all have said before me, both male and female are loud but I love them. I saw not a single snake last summer! Not one grasshopper or any other insect...for long.

I guess I have learned to tune them out.

The males can be loud, but if you have a female around, he is definately the quiet one in the crowd.

I have two and unless they get seperated I only hear them a couple of times a day. Maybe I'm just lucky

we have 14 guineas, and they never shut up!!!
My Gosh!!!
it seems we have 1 hen that just says "buckwheat buckwheat" all day long!!!
the males answer them, and I think they are really loud when someone pulls in the driveway or they get spooked!
they are definately the best watch dogs!!!

OH SO LOUD!!!some days I just want to ring there pretty little necks they SCREACH ALL DAY but others not a peep. They are louder around breeding time. Guess they want to really be noticed.
