I was wondering if mallard ducks are aggressive. Will they hurt my small call ducks? Thanks so much for your help!

Are Mallards mean? This has alot to do with individual personalities. However, I do keep Calls and Mallards together. The only issue I run into is sometimes the Mallard Drakes can be aggressive breeders.

Okay, thanks for the help. I just got 6 tiny mallard ducklings today, and I want to put them with my black call duck pair. If you want, I might post pics of the babies.

If your worried your mallard ducklings will hurt your call pair? i think I would be worried the calls may hurt the babies. Love to see baby pics.

Put them in now or when they are grown?

We'd love to see some pics

Introduce them slowly through fencing if possible instead of just putting everyone together and hoping for the best. especially if you have more drakes. Your call drake may not appreciate more drakes in his space so just take it slow and let them get use to each other. even while they are still babies they can meet your adult pair just not where the adults can get to them.

x2 on Miss Lydia and Kevin.

I had one mallard that was out of control crazy mean. Thought he was big stuff. His son is the sweetest little thing. Just depends.

ETA: The mean one wasn't such hot stuff when the fox came around. Rest in Peace Edward.

I am hoping for females. I will trade them in if there are too many males. If one is too mean, he's going away from here!
