are McMurray's RIR's and Barred Rocks good egg layers?????????????

tell me if you have had any experience with McMurray and what breeds and feel free to post any pics of them and their eggs.

Yes, they are bred for egglaying rather than breed type. The RIR are production reds. Mine lays very well.
 
I would say yes, not because they are McMurray chickens but because BRs and Prod RIRs are proven egg layers generation after generation. I got my Buffs and Barred from them in Mar. So it won't be to much longer. I already have the decoy eggs in the boxes.
 
Hatchery birds of any species are great layers because the hatcheries need them to produce well in order to have many chicks. Then if you take into account that the breeds you mentioned are great layers in themselves, a hatchery bird of laying breed decent will be awesome!
 
they should be good because those breeds are good egg layers and also hatcherys need them to lay so they will have chicks and to make money so i think they should be very good egg layers. congrats!
