Are meal worms okay?

The guy at my local pet food store told me he gives 'his' chickens meal worms.
So I bought a little cup of them.
Are they okay for my 5-6 week old chickens?
also, how about grass clippings after we cut the lawn (no pesticides what-so-ever on the grass!)

Yes. Mine love the mealworms.

Clipped grass is also great. Just give them some grit.

I always rake up the grass after I clip it. Everybody loves it.

Oh heck yes! They love em! Just don't feed any that you find in the wild cause they can spread disease and parasites.

Mine go crazy about meal worms. 6 chicks will gobble up 100 mealworms in about 2 minutes

Do a search on here for them, (sometimes people call them "mealworms" all one word) and see how some people grow them for their birds to cut down on feed costs! I've got a bunch in a box to grow.
Mealworms are something like 50% protein, so yum yum yum for chickens
