I bought 2 dozen goose eggs today..they are from white Chinese and grey Chinese....all in the same pen....the goslings will still be Chinese geese...but will they be mixed colors?or hatch either gray or white? Thanks y'all.

i also asked same question if the white chinese was dominant or recessive white over brown chinese. i have a brwon chinese female in with all my white chinese. and i want to hatch pure white.
but never got answer from anyone.

can anyone help?

If you cross a white and brown (not grey) chinese the offspring would probably be brown with a white band across their breast.

This is a video (you don't have to watch unless you want to see my dog playing with the geese

) but you can see the one in the middle of the 'pic'. That is either a brown chinese or an african mixed with a white chinese. Notice the white band on the breast. 3 of the 5 'brown' geese were mixes like that, the others are a pure African and a Toulouse.

THANK YOU!!! i can not stand it when people make a big fuss of an ameraucana being an easter egger because its not an accepted color!!!!!

Glad I found this post! My tufted roman gander paired up with my toulouse goose, and I was curious as to what their young will look like. @ Roocrazy-When it comes to Easter eggers, it's not A color, it's many colors. An Americauna lays colored eggs, whereas an Easter egger lays several colors. And many easter eggers are actually just mutts that lay colorful eggs. I could cross my easter egger roo with my other hens (dont remember egg color genetics perfectly) and the babies would be Easter eggers. Lol. But I agree, some people get quite worked up about it. Btw, nice to see a fellow Minnesotan!

If it really is a pure Ameraucana, just not to color we would say "non show quality Ameraucana" or "not to standard Ameraucana".

An Easter Egger is a mix of who knows what. Like if you took an Ameraucana and mixed it with say a Wyandotte you'd have a olive egger EE.
