Or just mine :) Seriously, he's a sweet guy and treats his hens well but I wonder why he's always the one in a panic because he somehow got separated from the hens and is stuck on the wrong side of the fence. Last night I went to make sure everyone was in their new coop and all the hens were inside but he, of course, was racing around in a panic again because he couldn't figure out where the door was.

Also, when I throw them treats, I make sure to throw them at him so he can "take credit" for finding the treats. He spends the whole time biting off pieces to drop for the girls while they gobble it up and does this until the treats are gone so he ends up not getting anything.

The hens seem to be so much smarter.

My BO roo has had the same entrance/exit to his run for a year and a half and still panics because he can't find his way out.

I think it is just a rooster thing.

He sounds like a good boy

Most of my chickens are pretty dumb, including the roosters. Kinda hard to be smart when your brain is so tiny and is filled up with "Food! Food? Treats! Procreate!"

Your roo must be related to my roo. He is as sweet as can be but dumber than a sack full of rocks. I've seen him run in circles in a panic because I sneezed.

He's good to the girls though so I can't complain.

My roo argues with me verbally.... If he starts crowing I crow back at him they he just looks at me a Bawk's as loud as he can for as long as he can. Just like one of the kids!

I guess I can't complain. At least he isn't mean but Geez sometimes I think he was dropped on his head as a chick lol.

I think that I may be the dumb one on this farm. I have spent two weeks trying to keep an OEGB roo in the coop and out of my young garden. I still have no idea how he was doing it but at the moment he is pretending to be contained. He has no problem finding his way in AND OUT.
