Are my babies missing out?

Hi i have 6 baby (6week old) chicks, 4 polish and 2 silkies. I want them to have the best life they possible can, and because its so hard to find out anything about chickens here, byc and storeys guide is the only help i can get. They spend most days in a make shift pen in the garden where they can play and scratch and i also throw in some dry mud so they can have dust baths, i treat them with worms and bugs and i am also going to get some canary/finch seed for the accational treat, but my question is, is there anything else that they would like or need to keep them as happy as possible?

Sounds to me you are spoiling them just right. On occasion, they might like some boiled egg yolk. Or tomatoe diced up really small. They also like watermelon, and cantelope...if ya want to spoil them even more! LOL

in my opinion your not gonna have a truly happy animal unless they get all the junk food they want, and they are nested on a huge throne of hay, with you at their beckoning call...but sounds like they are on a fast track to that type of life!!
