Are my barred rocks males or females?

I have 2 barred rock babies, im having a hard time determining sex. Both are 5 weeks old.

That's what I thought too, is it the colors that make it easier to tell them apart?

Yes, the males have quite a bit more white than the females. I've been told it's because males carry 2 of the barring genes while females only carry 1.

Yes, males are lighter than females
