my chickens stay in a coop and run and i have never wormed them. i do sometimes give them the grass and clover that i pick, ok, a lot of times. one of my chickens acts like its choking sometimes, stretching its neck and opening its beak in a stretching motion repeatedly but not all the time. i wouldnt be concerned about it but i now have a baby in the brooder doing the same thing. is this something i need to worry about? and is it true that pumpkin is a natural wormer? i also have just giving the baby grit for the first time. there about 2-3 weeks old. i figured if they eat little pieces of clover they would need the grit.
