Hi there!
3 6 week-old Chicks are transitioning to being in the coop. They are not free roaming, we let them out for timed intervals in the morning and evening only.
Today, we noticed new scabs on two of their beaks.
Are they pecking each other? Should I be worried, could
This escalate further?
Thanks!

Could there be any sharp chicken wire around, that's what happened with my chicks.
It could also just be that the older girls want to make sure the babies know who's in charge!

Well, the wooden coop had wiring already on it, it was constructed from online. I don’t think there’s anything loose or sharp, but we’ll have to take an in-depth look at it when we have daylight!

And also, just the 3 chicks are in the coop. No older hens!

Thanks for your advice!
