So we got some fertilized eggs from a friend so our broody hen can repopulate our flock. and today I tried to pull her out of the coop so we could candle and see what we have. Then, one of the eggs fell from her haunches and broke.
(Two of them were GLUED to her feathers. Is that even a thing!?)
And we tried to shine a flashlight on it and see if it was actually fertile. It's really dark in there, and definitely smells like egg...not sure if it's rotten egg but it smells like egg, for sure.
The rest of the eggs are basically opaque save for some who have a tip, almost like an air gap I would think?
Is it worth saving, or is it just a rotten egg? I wanna do all I can to save it.
