Are my ducklings Cayugas?

They were so tiny! My little duckies are growing up. ;-;

Pics?

Congrats on the ducks. I would bet they are Cayuga ducklings. Sometimes the babies will have a little bit of white or yellow near their bill or on their chest. A few of mine had it, but it fades to black by two months. I guess if it doesn't fade away, then they are black swedish.

Love me some Cayugas,
Rich

My cuties! They grow so quickly. Their voices are starting to change and the white is starting to go away, too!

I have 3 (out of 4) babies that look similar to yours!!! Can't wait to see if the white fades away for mine too or not.... they are a week old now and it seems to already be fading away when compared to the first picture I took of them!!!

By my guess: you have three cayugas and one black swedish. The one with the yellow/white all the way up its neck and has a light colored bottom bill is unlikely to be a cayuga.

That is what I am thinking too, thank you for adding to my confidence (having an idea of what they will look like helps me decide on names now lol)

I will be honest, until yesterday morning I had been calling it a mix because the woman I bought it from told me she thinks her pekin drake got with her cayuga, it wasn't until then I had found a book stating how you CAN get black Swedish babies from doing just that!!! Explains why it looks so much like that :) Wow learn something new every day! Explains why I can't find much info for that cross breed, everyone just calls them black sweds

Pickles was killed by our dog last night. We're putting a fence in but it's not done and our dog some how got off her run. Neither my husband or I know how, as her collar was still on. It's like someone came and unclipped the lead, but we live on a 50 acre farm and the only person there was my husband's cousin, and he was talking to us when it happened.
We gave him a nice burial in the shade and laid some bricks and a statue by him. I'm going to get a plant to put near his grave, as he always liked eating my plants.
I had a pretty hard time of it and Pudge isn't taking to being alone too well. I'm trying to find another friend for her but I'm not having any luck so far.
Any ideas?

I am so sorry for your loss. You could consider a hatchery but you would have to order more then one. You could check the where am I where are you as well as the buy sell trade section.
