Got these babies from a local feed store... They are so cute but by the far the loudest babies I've ever brought home. They were supposed to be guarantee pullet easter eggers. But that same feed store is also where i got my little surprise roo. I've decided to only keep cookie and no other males. So im really praying they actually gave me girls. They are about 5 or 6 days old now this was them earlier..

Repost pics when they're 6 - 8wks at least. Cuties :love
If they're chirping alot, what temps are you keeping them under? They could be too warm or cold.
The ride home with them was very cold, so it may have been the temps. They has been less chatty since being in their brooder. And alright i wasn't sure if there was a way of sexing EE's this early but thought i would try! I will post updated photos in a few weeks (:

It's early yet, but I'm guessing the one on the left to be a cockerel, and the one on the right to be a pullet.

What exactly gives you a hint? Do the boys tend to be darker? The caramel ones feathers are also growing a bit faster but not to much ofna difference... Which had me worried because thats how i could tell my australorp was a roo early on. His sisters had tail feathers for about 1 1/2 weeks before his came!

If that red patch of down on the shoulder of the chick on the left turns into a red patch of feathers, he's a cockerel.

Pullets often have partridge feathering, which shows well in the wings of #2. If she does not develop any red patches, she'll be giving you some eggs.

And, I'm just guessing at this point. As others have said, feathering needs to be present to tell for sure. When you post later pics, be sure to include each chick in his/her own set of pics, and show top view: clear photo of comb, and side view, including legs, shoulders, and tail.
