Are my eggs okay?

Oh no I am so sorry this happened, I'v never experienced anything like that, they've always stayed put until their blood vessels were completely absorbed in all my assists and I've never read of them doing this from assisting guides either. :(

I wonder if there was something going on with the blood vessels, since you've had two babies that bled out now, I'm just as confused as you are though. I'm so sorry you had to go through such a traumatic hatch! I don't think being this far behind the others and with three already having been dead in shell that this little one had a very good chance, I'm so sorry it didn't work out. :(:hugs

Its put me off doing another hatch I knew there was a chance of them dying during incubation or hatching but I don’t think I ever really grasped how traumatic it’d be.. I love animals I can’t bare to see any suffer or die. Absolutely terrified the chicks I have now will die but they seem strong and healthy they’re eating and drinking and pooing literally everywhere :lau
Thank you so much for your patience and kind words though, it really means a lot :)

I completely understand being put off, this hatch sounded like it was really rough, it would shake me too. :( If you ever want to hatch again I can't recommend fresh local hatching eggs from a healthy flock enough, the ease of hatching has been night and day with those for me (as long as you have a good incubator). It sounds like your other two are doing really well, I bet they'll do great! :D

In the future I’ll try local hatching eggs it shouldn’t be too difficult since where I live there are plenty of farmers. I’ll be back on this forum before you know it :ya

Sorry about your babies!
Can I ask why you chose shipped eggs instead of buying locally? I’m just curious, I haven’t had the pleasure of hatching any yet but I’ve noticed a definite trend in people having problems with shipped eggs

I did try putting some local eggs in the incubator at first but found out pretty early on that they were infertile. I don’t have the mobility to be able to have easy access to actually go out and ask farmers if they have any hatching eggs I can buy so at the time buying them online was easier for me
