Are My Goats Pregnant?

Hello, I am trying to figure out if my goats are pregnant. We have 4 pygmy goats two buck and two does. They have been getting fatter for the last couple of weeks and this is my first time with goats. The bucks and does are all in the same pin and our dominant male (Jose) keeps making weird noises and tongue sticking his tongue out. The does have been fighting more often but might be playing, and the male are always fighting. Jose is always ramming all of them over food and I am worried he might hurt our does. But anyways what are signs that I can tell if they are pregnant? They have gotten bigger since September so if they are they should be due later this month or next month. They do not like me checking their udders and touching their stomachs. The oldest female/ the mom of our other doe

Alright cool! How far along do you think I believe they were bred in September but the bucks and the does stay together so I have no clue if it was later than that. Also the 1st goat we call her Naomi she has a big belly but it got a little smaller than the one in the first pic. Is it possible she could be pregnant and bloated?

I have goats myself but I’m not an expert in finding out how pregnant they could be so I think your best bet would be to post on backyardherds

Ok, first and foremost, if at all possible, separate the males from the females ASAP!! The does need good nutrition and to not be butted in the sides or sexually harassed by the bucks (now is breeding season BTW). Even dividing your existing space with good fencing or something would really help.

Second, September breeding would give you Feburary babies. Gestation period is 5 months. There is no guarantee both does were bred and maintained their pregnancy the first time, though. With that said, you may be looking at March or April kids, possibly.

Third, nutrition. What are you feeding them? They also need selenium, particularly in the last part of pregnancy. Loose minerals labelled for goats are by far your best bet. BoSe injections won't hurt either.

Also: I know this sounds weird but you can many times tell if a doe is pregnant by looking at her vulva. I suggest you Google the details on that, you can also learn more ways to assess possible pregnancy.

Okay, I agree with the above.
They are DEFINITELY pregnant, and look to be about 4 months.
Separate them ASAP. You must.

Keep giving alfalfa hay, but try to switch to a feed specifically for gestating goats. And provide loose minerals.

I would expect kids within the next month.

Gonna have to separate them, somehow. Alfalfa is good, and about how much sweet feed are they Getting? Too much isn't really that good, at least not until they are nursing and need the extra calories.

And again, minerals. It really is important (especially selenium) if you want healthy mama's and babies.
