Yesterday when he crowed the pecked him mid crow. Really funny sounding and looking (I spit Coffee.) Today when he was crowing they followed the other Roo (Who dosen't crow as much and is bigger in size) into the hen house. What is up with this behavior? Are they as annoyed with his nonstop vocalization as I am? There are no threats I can see in the yard or the sky so I don't think he is telling them to take cover. They are all between 10 and 12 weeks old.

If there's a larger rooster around, it may be that the hens see him as the Alpha of the flock and are pecking the other rooster to show that he is lower in the pecking order.

I am actually happy to hear this because I thought for a while he might be the dominant roo and I really want to keep the big one. He is better natured and is nicer to the hens and in general a better looking bird.
