are my hens ready to start laying?

My 2 about 5 and half month old silkie hens I noticed today were making different sounds then I noticed before. Kinda like a hen does when she has laid or is about to lay and egg but not as loudly or proud kinda singing. Also I noticed a made nest at the back of the run made from feathers and hay. Could my girls be close to laying?

I think they are some of my hens also about the same age of yours are doing diffrent things every day and going to nest boxes more often, my friend who has chicken for years told me that they will be laying eggs any time now,I am really excited.
