Are my Lavender orpingtons and silkie male or female???

are these two Lav orpingtons male or female?? also anyone know if my silkie is male or female??.

I'm guessing that the Silkie is a hen.
Of the Lav Orps, in the first pic I think the one on the left is a hen and the one on the right looks a little bit more like a rooster, though their comb development seems similar. Just my opinion.

How old are they?

I don't have any Lav Orps (YET), but if they develop anything like the buffs I would have to say they are both roos. My Buff Orp girls are 13 weeks right now and still don't have combs that dark or waddles that big. They looked more like the chick in the forefront of the first pic when they were a bit younger. Someone that has actual experience with the lavender variety might say pullets develop early or something. Just my opinion and it ain't worth that much

I wish I could say about the silkie... I have one that looks about like that and I'm waiting for a crow or an egg. Oh please, oh please an egg!!!

thanks for the help the lavs are about 8 weeks old but are german strain so are ment 2 be a lot bigger so iv been told, but its why its making it hard to tell if they are roo's or not. i think il play it safe and just wait with those two as they are looking good at the moment.
