Are our girls actually boys?

These crossed beak birds will be 'special needs' individuals, needing some beak trimming, and very deep food and water dishes, and won't be able to eat much if anything off the ground. These cockerels also shouldn't reproduce!
Consider putting them in the freezer instead...

Agreed except for the freezer part lol I have 2 cupcake and cletus. They are night and day. Cupcake is completely dependent on me for food she can't eat dry feed. I have to make her breakfast and dinner every day. Cletus on the other hand can catch a blueberry on a bounce. She (yes she, we thought she was a roo) doesn't even know I exist. Expect for the occasional beak trim shes just another chicken. From what I can tell with mine the bigger the beak the better they do.

This is the 'special needs' part of the story, and it's a commitment that might make it all work out, but it is a commitment. Otherwise, these birds may slowly starve, which is way worse!

They are able to scoop food out of the feeders and they love treats from a bowl. They are definitely not starving, we've made sure of that. :D

We are new-ish chicken owners and not too sure about trimming their beaks. We will, in all honesty, probably find a new home for them or find someone local who can process them for us. But it will be sad. They have been part of our family for a while now and we love them! :(

I'm so sorry! That's hard. If your intentions were to breed, just cull them instead.
Could you get a refund?

Also, don't buy from them again if they are keeping crossbeaks to breed in their flock!

No, we got them from a backyard breeder. We saw the conditions they were being kept in and just wanted to get them out of there. They've been happy with us for probably 3 or 4 months now. But we just can't have 3 roos in a 7 chicken flock! :(
