are Rhode Islands good mothers?

I have a Rhode Island red hen.who.is broody and was planning on letting her hatch eggs in the spring. r Rhode Islandd good mothers and brooders or do they have a tendency to abandon their young?

Hatchery RIR? They are not known to be a broody breed, but my hatchery girl went broody at 3 1/2 years old and again this year. She's a fantastic mother.

She's mothering those chicks, but they are not hers. They are EE babies she adopted.

Yes she is hatchery. she is roughly 8 months and she had been trying to lay on the eggs everyday for the past 3 weeks or so and she yells at me every time i get the eggs
