Are RIR good brooders need HELP

That was an awesome thread Robo! Thank you! Luckily I didn't need it.....

Terril, how did you guys fare?

So far we are good. Now they say the ice is coming tonight. Than we will be good. How did you fare Tuper? My poor chickens outside are mad at me. I won't open the door to their run. It is sleeting and freezing rain. They are staying put. And my poor goats will not come out. Had to deliver their food to them in their house. Hope everyone is faring well.

We are just a little soggy, it's not even raining anymore. It's cold, but everyone made it ok! I'm actually a little bummed, we didn't get a bit of the white stuff.

I remember several years ago there was a BAD ice storm in your area. It was SO PRETTY, but very destructive. Lots of power outages due to tree branches falling from the weight. I hope you guys don't get it that bad tonight!!!

Thanks. Me too. My poor goats won't even come out in it. I had to bring them their breakfast. LOL. The only bad thing is my lock keeps freezing on the door to chicken coop. But if that is the worst thing I will deal with it. Have a full tank of gas just incase I need it tonight to keep the eggs warm. Hope the weather stays good for you.

Isn't the snow great? I'm in Atlanta. But no, if you do not have a broody you can't just put the eggs in a box and expect them to sit.
