I have read that some peafowl owners give Safeguard Multi-Species pellets to their peafowl. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Why do you want to use this?

I was going to use Safeguard for Goats 10% suspension but looking at the bottle I see that the expiration date was September, 2019. My feed store doesn't have any in stock. In the past I put it on pieces of bread - which worked well for awhile - but now it is getting harder to get them to take it. So, before I order more I thought I would check into the pellets, thinking they
may be more acceptable to it than the liquid on bread. Do you have any experience with the pellets?

How would you know if you are properly dosing with the pellets? The SG you can measure.

Yes, that is why I was asking if anyone had experience in using the Safeguard pellets...to find out if it worked well with peafowl and to find out the appropriate dosage. I am interested since my birds are starting to avoid the bread with liquid on it...so am trying to be more creative in fooling them. LOL If no one here has any experience in using it so be it. They like scrambled egg so I may try using that as a carrier for the Safeguard liquid. Everything is an experiment!

How many do you have?

I have 5 adult peafowl. My breeder peacock (Rainbow) is about 5 or 6 years old and my breeder peahen (Anastasia) is about 4 or 5 years old. Their offspring are: One 2 year old peacock (Wolfgang) and two 20 month old peahens (Hannah and Bella).
