Are sardines ok for my chickens to eat for a protein boost?

I was just wondering if it is a good idea to feed themsome sardines once in a while?

Yes, fish is excellent. However, my guess is that most sardines are loaded with salt that they don't need. Shop carefully.

Yes, I agree with Fred's Hens. Since they are salty, I'd give them a can and then not for awhile after that. Then another can. So they don't get too much salt. Depends on how many chickens, how many cans! Too much will make your eggs taste fishy, too.

I love sardines with olive oil. Yum.
