Are Silkie roosters good or bad?

Thank you SO much!!! We are SO thankful we are learning this before we order. What we were going to do with them is breed and show them, but not anymore!!!! Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

I have only met one truly evil silkie cock, and I own him. He's not ALWAYS bad, but if he's been away from girls and is put back with him, he's awful for quite some time. The flying at me I can handle, it feels like having a fluffy baby beachball throwing itself against your leg, but he's a nipper and a grabber- and he doesn't let go. Tenacious.

That said, he's gotten better and is good when he's not been with the ladies.

Now,.. that is ONE cock out of at least ten permanent resident silkie cocks/cockerels and more than are here or have been here in the process of growing, selling, breeding, etc. Most are super gentle with humans. I have two whites that are very possessive of their girls and I can't pen them with another cock/cockerel no matter how many ladies there are, but I can grab them at any time without any problem. They never fly at or peck me.

I don't think there is a breed alive that doesn't see the occasional 'bad boy' rooster.
