Guys seriously regardless of the situation and if we agree or disagree with the OP they did reach out and ask a question for the betterment of his/her birds and for his/her personal knowledge. OP states that last round of chicks did fine without a heat lamp and yes they were older but cut them a little slack they were going off what worked well for them in the past.. You can tell that the poster is younger by word choice etc and if you read postings you can get a round bout age. Younger people do not always have the insight to look before they leap into a project at least they are here asking questions and trying to learn.
Yes I do believe feed stores and places should take steps to help educate but that doesn't happen and yes parents should be more involved with their children and unfortunately that isn't always the case.
Kudos for the OP to come and ask for help.

My chicks are doing good. My little Ameraucana is now almost 2 weeks old and the 2 chicks are more active then ever. Here is a picture of them.

Are these 2 chicks hens when they grow up because today I saw on my Ameraucana back is like feathers on each side and in the middle is not the feather and is just near the neck of them.
