Are the feathers growing in, or are they picking on each other?

My chicks are about 5 weeks old, and I think they are just growing feathers but, what do I know?
Also, when can I tell the gender apart?

Hiya BBQ! Your biddies are close to the age of my 3 (Hatched April 22, 23, & 24) Those pin feathers sure do make our cute little peeps not so cute anymore, right? It will be OK! Those feathers will fill in & our cuties will be all fluffy again.

At five weeks your chicks should be pretty much feathered out already.....not just beginning to get feathers. How warm are you keeping their brooder and what are you feeding them?
