Are there any illnesses a chicken can catch from a pigeon?

I was just offered a pigeon coop from a friend and was wondering if there are any diseases I should worry about that my chickens could get from it. I would of course bleach it out good and prob paint. The only reason I question it is because yrs ago I had taken a lost pigeon in and within a couple days one of my birds got a pigeon illness and died, I dont remember what it was now, but my bird guy said it is caught from pigeons
