Are there any plants for a pond that my Mandarins won't eat?

I tried putting a few water lilies in my pond, but the ducks made quick work of those. I would like to put something in there to make it look a little more natural, but I don't want to keep throwing my money away. Would any of the floating type plants have a shot?

Nope.

Sorry but I think it is a general rule, if the ducks can reach it then it is fair game.

Mine have ate EVERYTHING I have ever put in there. All kinds of lilies, water lettuce, umbrella plants, anything in the water they eat.

Uhhh...no.

You can fence off the plants. Then they will only nibble whatever peeks through the poultry wire.

Didn't figure there would be. I was just hoping there might be something that was too tough for them to eat, or maybe something that they did not like the taste of.

You could always go plastic.

If you REALLY want some color in your pond.

No, I wouldn't do plastic. I might just go to a pond on one of my friends property and pick up a bunch of the water lettuce that is taking over his pond. At least it would give them something to eat and I could go get more every week or so.
