are there any types of treats that baby turkeys like

They eat the seeds too. They've been mowing down the melons as fast as I can buy them.

Give it a try

I must have dain bramaged turkeys. Tried watermelon last night, the chicks all pecked once or twice and left it alone. My sheep ate it

Oh yea, my sheep love watermelon too. When they are done eating and they raise their heads, they all look like they are wearing red lipstick.

It's kinda like the milk mustache. They have the red watermelon mustache. It is too funny.

as yet i havnt been blessed with a chance to raise turkey poults. I did find a good transition from mash/crumble to harder grains, and also hours of pecking fun for baby chickens, as well as a healthy treat was corn cobs. Cooked because it softens the corn. For younger babies your half eaten cobs of corn are good as it leaves kinda scraps 4 them and not hard full grains. To help them along a little perhaps roll and squash the cob a little for them 1st. They love lettuce to but not too much as it can give them the scours/runs. Most definatly tho corn cobs are a BiG favourite on my farm.

Mine like scrambled eggs, grated carrots, spinach and mealworms. Love the idea of letting the bugs come to the brooder light! I think I'll try that... free food!
