We actually did suspect he might’ve been a bantam at first but the hatchery (Cackle) doesnt say the sell polish bantams soPullet still. Maybe it’s a polish bantam?
. He did cry a lot when he was younger and would cry while looking like he was about to fall asleep. Nothing we did improved his situation. He seemed to act like a narcoleptic chicken (lol) and we werent sure he was going to make it but he pulled through! The other 5 had no issues whatsoever.

Oh yes we also got a buff laced, two golden laced, and a silver laced polish in the same run. We’re hoping the buff and golden laced are pullets. The silver is definitely a crowing rooster.Do I see a buff laced in the background??
That is what we suspect! It is our first time raising chickens so we were driven crazy trying to figure out why he was crying. He is a “special” chicken hahaHmm maybe just a runt then?

My non bearded polish developed larger wattles at about 5-6 months, right before they started laying. They had small ones prior to this. They did continue to grow some, but never got as big as a cockerels wattles.
