I took these chicks from a lady's who hatched them for her preschool. We are new, so these are our first chicks. She said they hatched on March 25/26th, and I think they are a Cochin Mix. She had no idea. 1 has 3 rows of feathers and tail feathers. The other 3 have 2 small rows of wings, and no tail feathers. I can't keep roo's so I'm thinking of running down and getting 2 pullets. I just have been reading that the Roos are very late in feathering. Making me worried, because I love these little chicks, and I will hate to have to rehome 3. Any thoughts. Could they just be different crosses and thats why the one is so much feathered.
