That’s great to hear! You’ll have to take pics next time you candle so we can see how strong they areUpdate - I candled the eggs again, carefully, since it’s day 7 now. I saw movement in about half!! 2 we’re duds, so I got rid of them, and there was still veining in the others even if there was no movement so I put those back in. I’m sooo thankful I didn’t roast them all!!!![]()
That top picture has great veining, an active little embryo, and the air cell although it’s saddled, it doesn’t move.Ok, so some disappointing news. As air cells continued to developed, I noticed all but one of the eggs (naturally, the one that stopped developing) have saddled air cells. A few of them still have active little babies in there, but do they have any chance of survival? I gently titled the egg, and the air cell doesn’t move, but it’s still saddled. I’ve kept them in an upright position since I’ve received them and planned to try to allow them to hatch that way. Today is day 10.
Advice?? Opinions?
That’s awesome!! Do you keep the saddled eggs in an upright position to hatch?I've had no different success rates with saddled and unsaddled air cells. I don't even worry about it anymore.
Thank you!!I’ve been searching saddled eggs here, and have found threads that have successfully hatched. There is mention of creating a safety air hole, but I don’t think you’re there yet.
