Are these both welsummers and what gender are they?

, I dont count on the markings for males and females.......its all wrong and you would have to sex them accurately according to their featherings. I used to go by that method and I was wrong most of the time and believe it or not, most of the non promiment Vs are pullets and some stand out yelling V's are pullets also. These were not the hatchery birds either. Most of my lines came from Lowell Barber thru Calicowood farms and Mothergoose.

Looks like both of them could be EEs.
 
The 19 chicks I had this spring I sexed by color and separated them. I put 14 dark veed birds in a separate brooder and not one had to be placed with the 5 cockerels. I wouldn't cull based solely on hatch markings, but it has worked for me to know what to expect.
