When our hen was broody we got fertile eggs from my sister. Her rooster is a light Brahma and the hens are Ameraucana. I’ve noticed the tails are becoming colorful and plumy. Does the pattern on their hackles look rooster-like to you? I need to know because I’m in city limits, so if they are roosters I need to find them home. They are just under four months old. I realize I can wait a while and see if I get eggs or crowing but I’d like to know before that happens if possible because I have someone who would take one if a rooster. Any ideas??
