Are these Calico Princesses?

For future reference, orpingtons have white/pink legs.... this would have helped you know the chicks are not bo when you got them as both these birds are yellow legged. Always handy to have little clues like that when buying birds.

Any idea what my red one might be? I can send a more updated pic of both of them since they have grown quite a bit and feathering is now all in.

We have 2 Calico princess, both are docile & the pullet is super friendly and curious.
Thinking the one on the left is a Roo.

Yours are very pretty! Not sure that mine looks like yours . It seems like with yours I can see the white mixed in .Ill post more updated pics of them today. They are now over 8 weeks old.

So these are updated pictures. Aurora is the lighter color with black on her tail. Is she a calico princess or something else? I see some pretty black feathering coming in around her neck.
Tiana is the darker red and not sure what she is. Any thoughts?

Mine both have some black feathering coming in, and the smaller one is getting it on her neck as well. Guess time will tell!

Our CPs look very similar, it's just one is so much larger than the other and they were supposed to be the same age, and it has a lot of white speckling too. Black feathers just now coming in. Did you find out what your other one is?

No I am still very unsure about both at this point. I am really not seeing the white speckling that you describe on yours on mine. I clearly see it in the picture of yours. When I looked further on the internet for info , the lighter one seems to have more markings like a New Hampshire. Still very much a mystery to me. Someone said they were Red Sex Link but from what I was able to find red sex links have chipmunk coloring as very young chicks. Mine were just little yellow chicks with no other coloring so I kinda question that as well. Mystery continues lol

I did not get mine until they were 2 weeks old, but they look very much like yours. I agree, still a mystery. =)

I also have a few questions about my chickens from Hoover's. They said they're calico princess, but my 5 don't look anything like all of yours. They are about 4 weeks old. Any ideas of what they could be? Anything will help! The chicks are in order from #1- #5.
