Are these Chocolate Guineas?

Thanks, Peeps,

I'd love to see the color differences between blondes/buffs...coral blues/lavenders/lite lavenders....Those differences are so hard to see in pictures, when they aren't side by side. Maybe one day you'll have the time to do that....Ha....forgive me if I don't hold my breath :).

No, they are way way too light. Too light to be Blondes as well.
They look like Buffs to me, but I can't see if there is partial pearling on the flank area or not.

This is one of my (sun bleached) Chocolates, this is about as light as they get in my flocks.
Flank feathers stay dark year round.

I think you search for posts like this, just as the excuse you need to show off your beautiful birds ...

I selectively bred them... so why not show them off?

It's really not about showing off my birds, it's more about getting correct Guinea info (and pics) out there...

Correction: "[You] selectively bred them with truly exceptional results ..."

As to the rest? You're doin' that just as well, and I'm gonna eventually get around to approaching you w/ some ideas about that ~'-)

Oh wow!! I Just love all the colours you guys have!

You think you've merely expressed your appreciation for guineas, but ... you've just become infected by the insatiable urge to own far too many. It is a highly contagious disease which affect the neurological systems of all humans that gaze upon ::edit:: casportpony's PeepsCA's (in this case) ::/edit:: specimens. The only treatment, I'm afraid, would be a sudden and sharp blow to the head. Aspirin may be taken, so as to alleviate pain.

LOL, ouch CCG. Actually the bonk on the head method hasn't broken my addiction yet... I have a coop with a low doorway that I hit my head on all the time (duh Peeps, duck). Hasn't helped get my Guinea hoarding in check one bit, lol.

Bemba's been infected for a long time, way before he saw any of my birds (not my fault this time!)... they just don't have as many color varieties in Oz as we have here in the US. I'd gladly trade him a bunch of my pretty colors for some of his red eyed Cinnamons... but it's illegal, lol.

Well, I *had* such a simple plan (which is highly unusual for me), but I've already decided to have multiple flocks in additional locations, yet another addition to the brooder so as to make a hospital of sorts, another new chicken house ... oh, please, somebody help me before I become the 'male w/ too many birds' version of the crazy cat ladies some folks poke fun at ~'-)

Welcome to my world!!! Always starts out simple, doesn't it. I blame it on the dominant colors/pearling... if they didn't rule the gene pool I could just have one flock (yah riiiiight!).

Wait a minute... are you comparing me to a crazy cat lady??? Lmao!
