Are these cockerels or pullets? 8 weeks

Hi everyone,

we got fertilized eggs from a local farm. They were not sexed so we’re wondering if we have cockerels or Pullets. We have two Easter Eggers and one mystery egg. So basically they’re all mixed breeds.

Thor is the white one.
Tony Stark is the brown Speckled one.
Black Panther is the black speckled one.

Please let me know what you think and why. Thank you in advance!

Well, Thor and Black Panther are good names, but I think Tony is a Tonya... Time to become Black Widow?

Haha Named by a four year old. Should’ve probably mentioned that. We’re mostly thinking Thor is a potential cockerel. So, I assume you think so too?

Thor and Black Panther are both cockerels.

I would agree Thor is a cockerel. I'm not really good at this yet and have a mystery chicken of my own, but the other two look like pullets to me. Tony is definitely a pullet, based on the lighter/smaller comb and the rounded tail feathers. Black Panther has the bright red comb, but those tail feathers are pretty round, so that's the questionable one. I'm going with pullet, but if "she" starts crowing...well, then you'll know for sure.

You can't go on the rounded feathers at this point. They don't develop their male vs female saddle or hackle feathers until their around 12 weeks. These guys are just too young.

eta: the only thing you can reliably go on is the size and color of the comb and wattles. A pullet won't develop large red combs or wattles (depending on breed) until their 15-16 weeks old.
