I have 4 "ducklings" that are 8 weeks old. 2 got these curls last week. They all sound alike. Surely they must all be drakes right? Don't females usually start to quack by 8 weeks?

Yup them are drake curls. Females should quack by 5 weeks.

Yes that does look like a drake curl. However depending on its age I can't be totally sure. Sometimes females get a feather that look like that when their feathers start to grow in. But as long as its o er 8 weeks of age its most deff a male

Now I have some muscovies, 5 weeks old, and one tail feather is another colour. Could that be a drake feather?
