Are these e pure calls ?

TBH I'm not convinced she has calls. If that's what she says are pure call ducks....I don't really think she knows what on earth she's talking about. What you have could be a mallard mix, but more likely it's just the result of years of cross-breeding until you can't tell who's mated with whom. Like a duck melting pot.

I am not an expert on call ducks, I've read the standart description and have seen pure breds on a poultry show, so my opinion might not carry that much weight, but I believe that at least some of these birds are not really show quality, and as with any mixed flock, crosses are very possible.

Okay yeah, THOSE are calls. Not the greatest quality, but definitely Calls. Yours, however, not so much. :/ Which really stinks! I hesitantly agree with the earlier opinion that they may be either Call or Mallard/Runner crosses. Actually that makes more sense to me now. They look like ordinary mallards, and I can see how that would be the result of a Call and a Runner mating - Calls have exaggerated stubby features, whereas Runners are the exact opposite, long, hooked bills and big postures!

Those aren't standard mallards, along the line they have to had be mixed with something, they stand WAY to straight and the chest just doesn't look right

They are cute definitely mallard in there and ________??? beyond me. Not pure calls, which doesn't mean they are not nor will not be lovely birds that said i hope you didn't pay call prices.. i know my calls were NOT cheap and i am not saying one way or the other on their quality just around here you pay big bucks for a pure call and the better the quality the higher it goes but i got all mine as babies so pricing is lower then as the quality doesn't show till later on.

A baby call is super tiny, so delicate. I have found nothing like them so far lol

Hi guys thank you all for your replies, I have an issue now because the house I have got is only 56x45 cm and I was told that would be good for a pair of call but if they are not calls will it be too small I need to know before Christmas because if they need a new one I need to ask for it for Christmas. How big is a standard cal, at 5 weeks?

Mc 2 standard size ducks will fit. They aren't going be a huge duck like Pekin or Muscovy. Her largest was Cayuga and they aren't that big. How does that measure in inchs sorry not good with cm.
