Are these eggs fertilzed??? New pics added!

The white spot is just the hens stuff it is called the blastodisc since the egg isn't fertilized. If it was fertilized the white spot would be called the blastoderm. I think I'm right on this. Some one correct me if I'm not right.

Brahmabreeder - I think you're right. And I've seen the white spot on the eggs from the store before too...I think it's just easier to miss, since the yolks on store-bought eggs are so much lighter.

Thanks for the info! And Nuttyredhead I would really like to see her! Maybe we can decide if she's really a girl? I posted a picture of a Brahma here a week or so ago that I thought was a pullet but nope! Rooster. He crowed a couple days after.

Found the suspect! I will be really surprised if she is a he! And be warned she has a lack of back feathers. I have been dealing with a feather pecker for MONTHS! Here are several pics!

The black chicken looks like a hen. Although some hens may take on some roosterish traits in the absence of a roo (ie crowing), they cannot fertilize an egg!

I do not think the eggs you are showing are fertilized. The white spot (which is the actual "egg" in that it contains the female half of the DNA) looks the same as those on the eggs I get from my neighbor, who has no rooster.
