I've been checking for Bourbon eggs they've made 2 nests and who knows but my Midgets started laying in Oct and I'm now getting fertile eggs have some cooking with swimmers these are all young ones hatched this spring and summer.

My Bourbon Red hen laid last December and being our first year figured it was just an anomally. But she started laying again in November. Right now I have 16 eggs in the incubator, the first are due to hatch just before Christmas, then a few more each week. But only one hen is laying, none of the others are. And it may not be many eggs, but I have four incubators and I'll hatch every one she lays!!

Can't help myself.

Oh, and unless I'm wrong the thrid brown wgg is a chicken egg. At least it looks like my Rhode Island red eggs. But the first two, definately turkey eggs!

Well I got 2 eggs today so 4 since Sunday....I might be able to hatch some more and I don't need any eating eggs so these are going in the incubator they will be plenty ready for Thanksgiving yum yum
